About the job
The Site Activity Coordinator is a field-based role responsible for implementing and verifying safe systems of work on the railway alignment. .This includes coordinating with the NOCC Train Controller or Possession Supervisor to implement track possessions, worksites and to provide access in accordance with approved Permits-to-Work. During the activity, the Site Activity Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a safe work environment for both personnel and infrastructure, and overseeing contractor access to the railway corridor.

Contractor Access Management: 

Manage access to the railway corridor for contractors, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and minimizing risks to rail operations
Conduct clear, detailed briefings to the workgroup including safe systems of work (SSOW), risks and control measures
Ensure each person working within the SSOW holds a valid certificate of competence for the work that they are to undertake
Ensure everyone in the work party understands the emergency arrangements that apply
Field Coordination of Safe Systems of Work: 

Liaise with the Network Operations Control Centre or Possession Supervisor to establish, communicate, and verify the SSOW to be applied (i.e. possession, lookout, permit to work)Set up and manage the SSOW
When works are completed, confirm that all personnel, tools, equipment are clear of the line and rail operations can resume (or otherwise)
Supervise multi-functional technical teams in a rail environment
Ensure possessions or permits to work are handed back within the allotted time
Network Access Assessment: 

Participate in assessing network access applications (possession, PTWs, etc.) to ensure the scope of work is defined and hazards relating to rail operations and rail infrastructure are appropriately identified and mitigated.

Safety & Compliance Reporting:

Inspect and verify (on a sample basis)that the works are conducted in accordance with work method statement and risk assessment.
Stop any unsafe activities and escalate safety issues as required
Document and report all field-based activities related to possession management, contractor access, and safety protocols, ensuring adherence to Etihad Rail Infrastructure standards.
Academic Qualifications: 

Certificate or Diploma in safety or rail operations

Professional Qualifications:

Light Vehicle License.

Experience: 

Background in field-based railway operations, with experience in possession and PTW systems.
Preferably with a comprehensive understanding of rail safety, hazard assessment, and mitigation practices.
Experience in briefing and coordinating site teams and managing contractor access effectively
Other Skills: 

Ability to clearly communicate in English with NOCC, field teams, and contractors. Knowledge of Arabic, Urdu or Hindi is advantageous.
Ability to complete forms and documents with accuracy
Able to manage cultural diversity in the workplace and recognise the sensitivities between different cultures.
Adaptability and resilience to work in a harsh environment with most of the time being employed in desert locations.
Ability and willingness to work during engineering hours (night time)
Be a person of trust and integrity and a people person who possesses the ability to influence, coach and mentor others. Be a safety role model and lead by example.
Ability to pass a Safety Critical Medical and Rail Safety Worker assessment.
Ability to pass the Person in Charge (PIC) assessment and complete the mentorship activities, to obtain PIC competency
Duration of the Contract:

2 years, extendable based on the requirement.
