Performance Analyst
Position Overview
The Performance Analyst is a key role between various data sources and Business users/stakeholders.
The Performance Analyst is responsible for delivering business analysis reports and insights that will support the Service Design Department with asset and service performance assessment and decision making.
Those reports shall include asset and train performance, resources allocation, maintenance performance, and any other topic as required.
This includes isolating possible causes of issues and working with technical parties (both internal and external) to ensure any issues are resolved in a timely manner. Proactive monitoring and performance reporting will be required, as will undertaking continuous improvement activities across both business process and application domains.
Roles and Responsibility
• Collect, analyze, and effectively disseminate complex and relevant asset and train service information from multiple sources to support the intelligence-led decision-making process and to develop actionable insights.
• Manage, update, and report on asset and service data changes comply with Etihad Rail Infrastructure policies, standards, and strategies.
• Collaborate and assist Etihad Rail Infrastructure colleagues with data gathering, cleansing and report interpretation and oversight on accurate as well as timely reporting.
• Manage the problem of information overload and ‘noise’ by continuously improving analytic tools and techniques.
• Understand the data, question the results and search for solutions, locating and defining opportunities for process improvement.
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
• Develop bespoke reports and dashboards as required.
• Keep abreast of technology advances such as AI and machine learning to leverage more accurate and automated business intelligence reporting.
Desirable qualifications, skills and experience
Academic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science or relevant field.
Professional Qualifications:
• SAP, Maximo, or other Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) certification is an advantage.
Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in railway industry or public transport maintenance environment.
• Proven working experience as a data analyst or business analyst.
• Experience with SAP Business Intelligence (BI), Power BI, SQL, Python, R, or similar data analysis tools.
• Proven experience in data analysis, with a strong understanding of statistical methods and data visualization.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
• Big Data Analytics.
Other Skills:
• English as first language or advanced level of written and verbal skill.
• UAE Driving Licence or the ability to transfer from equivalent.
• General Microsoft and computer skills; especially: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, etc.
• Ability to draft detailed and accurate reports.
• Analytical skills for problem solving.
• Ability to effectively represent the organization when required.
• Understand the importance of effective communication within culturally diverse work teams in a multinational company.
