MEP Supervisor
Position Overview
The primary responsibilities of this role include the maintenance and inspection of all station MEP assets., with a focus on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
The other responsibilities include compliance with safety regulations and identification/resolution of defects. Additionally, it requires addressing service quality issues, responding to customer feedback, and managing additional service requirements in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibility
• Monitor, control and analyze maintenance contractors’ performance data to assess reliability, safety, and efficiency.
• Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for performance improvement.
• Collaborate with maintenance contractor to plan and execute maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and safety standards.
• Monitor maintenance schedules and implement adjustments as necessary to minimize downtime.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.
• Implement safety improvement initiatives and participate in safety audits and inspections.
• Manage station MEP assets, including maintenance, lifecycle planning, and asset optimization.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to maintenance contractor.
• Conduct technical assessments and recommend improvements.
• Identify areas for process enhancement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
• Implement best practices to optimize MEP assets performance.
• Carry out any other task or work assigned by the Station Maintenance Manager.
Desirable qualifications, skills and experience
Academic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
Professional Qualifications:
• Professional qualification or certification from a related professional body, e.g., the Institution of Mechanical Engineering or others, is an advantage.
Experience:
• 10 years or more of relevant, demonstrable industry experience, including managing contracts.
• Knowledge of relevant specifications and standards
• Experience in MEP systems management, preferably in transport or public infrastructure.
• Certifications in relevant areas (e.g., Fire Safety, HVAC, Electrical Systems) are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with railway station standards and protocols is a significant advantage.
• Knowledge of condition-based maintenance (CBM) and predictive maintenance
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Anticipation, analysis, identification, and problem-solving capacity
• Stakeholder management with internal and external customers
Specific Requirements
• Out-of-hours attendance, exceptional duty, or travelling.
• On-Call responsibility
